RD BISP AJK Hosts Live Facebook E-Kachehri To Address Beneficiary Queries


Over 120,000 BISP Beneficiaries in AJK to Receive Rs. 1.26 Billion for Q1 of FY 2024-25, Dr. Abdul Aziz Qureshi
Muzaffarabad, (Parliament Times) : The Regional Director of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) for Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) held a live E-Kachehri today via Facebook, where he interacted directly with BISP beneficiaries and the general public. The session, which aimed to foster greater transparency and address public queries, allowed participants to call in and ask questions related to the program, its processes, and their benefits.
During the E-Kachehri, the Regional Director Dr. Abdul Aziz Qureshi personally responded to a variety of questions from beneficiaries, addressing their concerns about payments, eligibility, and other aspects of the program. He reassured participants that BISP is committed to ensuring timely assistance to deserving families and highlighted ongoing efforts to make the process smoother and more accessible.
One of the key announcements during the session was that 120,543 BISP beneficiaries in AJK will receive a total of Rs. 1,256,701,500 for the first quarter of the Fiscal Year 2024-25. This disbursement is part of the government’s ongoing commitment to provide financial support to those in need, especially in the region of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. He added that for the transparent disbursement of 01st Quarter tranche, BISP Management allotted six districts i.e. Muzaffarabad, Neelum, Hattain, Mirpur, Bhimber and Kotli to Bank Al-Falah, Three districts Bagh, Poonch and Sudhnoti assigned to Telenor Microfinance Bank and responsibility to disburse amount in District Haveli rest with HBL.
The Regional Director emphasized the importance of maintaining accurate records and urged beneficiaries to keep their information updated to avoid any delays in receiving their payments. He also informed the audience that BISP offices are available to assist with any queries or issues, and the live session serves as an additional platform for addressing public concerns directly.
The E-Kachehri was well-received, with many participants expressing their appreciation for the initiative and the opportunity to directly communicate with BISP top management. The Regional Director affirmed that similar sessions will continue in the future to ensure an open and transparent communication channel between the program and its beneficiaries.
